I started freelancing on Truelancer in September 2018. I have always loved writing. However, with a continuous push from my friend Zainat (of blessed memory) to monetize my writing skills and quit writing for free, I found a writing platform that would help in making this a reality. I searched for freelancing platforms to start my writing career and found Truelancer. I subscribed to it, and it has been a wonderful experience. Since It’s been four years, I have been providing my writing services as a freelancer.

What challenges have you come across in your freelancing career?
There are a lot of things that come when you choose to freelance, but the most difficult challenge I face is the Clients who refuse to pay even after you have completed the assigned task.

To become a successful freelance writer, I will mention just two things;
Firstly, creativity is key. Writing a killer article is dependent on how creative you can be because your client also pays for your creative thinking.
The second is paying attention to details. An accurate and thorough freelancer who pays attention to detail thinks through the fine points of every task, large or small produces high-quality and outstanding work.
What suggestions do you want to give to the budding freelance writer?
There are 4 things I believe is very important for budding freelancers that are:

- Package your skills attractively so that you can attract clients to your services.
- Patience is required when starting up, especially when applying for jobs and getting none in the initial phase. Keep at it, and when you get a job, give it your best.
- Lastly, be excellent at every task.
