Truelancer is a fast-growing community of freelancers and employers. We have made our own unique footsteps along with the competing giants like oDesk (now Upwork) and Elance.
If you scroll through the list of freelancers on Truelancer, you can realize that our platform is trusted by many people. There are a decent number of jobs posted daily.
But if you are a newbie to Truelancer and freelancing then this post is going to help you a lot. Our ultimate target from work is nothing but money. Just think you worked on a freelance website; what would be your feeling if you get no benefits for your sweat?
Truelancer has about 1,50000+ freelancers.
So, here I am going to share with you some safety features provided by Truelancer for both workers and employers.
1. Payments are Released only on Work Approval
This is a great feature. If you are an employer, seeking freelancers for your firm, this one will benefit you a lot. There are many freelancers who charge half or full of the payment in advance.
Will you hire them? If you have no prior experience with them, chances are great that you will simply avoid those people. Just imagine, you hired one freelancer and paid the full amount in advance. What if he disappears after receiving it? What if he never replies to your messages?
It means you lost your time and money. To avoid this awkward situation, Truelancer allows payments to be done only after the completion of your job. This will assure that only reliable freelancers are working with you.
2. Different Modes of Payment
Mode of payment is an important term in freelancing because it takes more significance if you are a foreigner to the client (as a freelancer). As an employer also, you should be aware of the method of payment through which you are going to send the money.
The internet is a necessary evil when it comes to money. There are countless ways to transfer money. But Truelancer allows only a few of them. Guess why? All that glitters is not gold. You may face issues with unrecognized money transfers.
As of now, there are seven methods to send or receive payments. That are Paypal, Payoneer, Payza, Internet Banking, Bank Transfers, Debit Cards as well as Credit Cards.
You can choose what suits you best. As you can see, all the methods are globally recognized. So Truelancer gives your money to the hands which deserve it. There was (is) not a single complaint from freelancers about the payment. Freelancers get the amount on time after deducting very small bucks as the fee.
3. Your Work is Organized Here
Getting organized is a little bit difficult. You have to do it as an online worker though. You may contact many people, work with them or hire them. So the lack of organization will not let you do things properly.
Don’t worry, again Truelancer comes to your rescue. The clutter- free interface will not confuse you. If you hire or get hired, there will be a workflow. That is the official record of the work. Through that you can message each other (between the client and freelancer), message to admin and tag the work as completed at last.
So, in this way, you will not face any difficult to track your works. As you can see in the image, the workflow (workstream) is simple and elegant. It has not come with an infinite buttons or features of no use. But this Workstream feature is the highlight of Truelancer, I must say.
4. You will get Good Rating after Each Works
There is a rating feature available in Truelancer. It is a common feature of most of the freelance platform sites. You should give a feedback with rating.
You can rate a freelancer after getting your work done. Freelancer also has to rate the employer. Along with rating, you should put a feedback also. You may feel it weird to see that no payment is done without feedbacks and rating.
Why Does Truelancer do so? Any answer? It is nothing, but because of the trust factor. If you get good rating and feedbacks from many people, you will be easily hired.
If you are a well-rated employer with positive feedbacks, freelancers will not hesitate to hit “Apply” button for your job. That’s why giving feedbacks and ratings are necessary at Truelancer.
With this great step, you will emerge as a quality worker or employer.
5. If You are not Satisfied, You can Request a Refund
What if a freelancer cheated you with works of insufficient quality? You think your money is gone. If you work with Truelancer, you will not think so because you will get a full refund on the basis of solid reason.
There are some specific circumstances when we can request a refund. They are “no response, non- delivery, poor quality and dispute”.
If the worker never responds even a day after accepting the proposal, you can request a refund from the safe deposit account. If he/ she fails to deliver in time or the work is of poor quality (can’t meet buyer’s terms within two revisions), you can do the same.
If the seller/ freelancer lost a dispute, the refund can be requested. But beware of that this is not a legitimate way and you may face legal actions for reversing the payment by this way.
Also, bear in mind that the only money in the safe deposit account is subjected to refund. If you already paid anyone by releasing the money from the safe deposit, it is not possible.
The seller is responsible to accept or reject the refund request. The rejected requests are further processed by Truelancer itself. If the seller fails to take any action, the fund will be returned to buyer wallet after 3 days.
