I am a Freelancer in the field of web development and android application development since last 8 years. Working as a freelancer gives me enough opportunities to built my career I am passionate about my work as well as spending enough quality time for my hobbies and family.
Why and when did you start freelancing?
I started my freelancing since 2010, the very next after i completed by graduation. During my studies itself, I was more eager to work on my own at my own time rather under the watch of human CCTV cameras. Thus, achieving different goals through flying colours learning different skills helps me to satisfy myself as a successful freelancer!!!
The main purpose of mine being a freelancer is that balancing career, social as well as family responsibilities equally and stop being under an eye of anyone else rather working at my own convenience.
What are the challenges you have found in your freelancing career?
The main challenge that I found during my freelancing career was giving quick response to client and the communication skills that we need to develop so that we can convince them to put trust on our skills and believe our talent.
What according to you does it take to be a successful freelancer?
As per my view for this question, I believe that patience is the major thing that any freelancer must develop in case to be successful in any field they work. The delayed response of he clients should not affect out passion and the goal we want to achieve.
I first came to know about Truelancer from social media as well as through Google Ads.
What do you think about working on Truelancer?
From my past several years of experience, I feel Truelancer is the perfect platform for all the freelancers in every field providing golden opportunities to increase their skills!!

Tell us about yourself.
I am an Enterprise Application Architect with 10+ years of work experience. From day one, started working as a professional only thing which comes to my mind was to start something of my own. So after 7 Yrs of service in IT industry, quit my job and started working as a freelancer and happy to say Truelancer was the first platform I joined. Have worked on many different kinds of web applications from microsites to huge 5 years development cycle enterprise projects. This gives me exposure and chance to work on various technology stacks and tools. I love reading technical papers and articles and spend a lot of time in understanding the latest technologies which are already in the market or about to come.
Why and when did you start freelancing?
It’s been 3 Years now, I am my own boss. I love working directly with people and solve their technical issues. Always thought of why not directly talk to customers and try to reduce there pain by means of technologies. I never liked 9 to 6 job that doesn’t give you the flexibility of kind of technologies you wanted to work on. That’s the reason after spending a long time in IT industry, I quit and started working as a freelancer. For others like to say there it’s never too late, you can start any time you want. When I started freelancing I thought it was too late for me and I myself proved this wrong.
It’s freedom with responsibility. Freedom to work on anything which you love, but with a responsibility to deliver your best as someone else trusted you to get there job done. The biggest benefit for me after delivering the first few successful projects is, I can pick the work of my choice. This interests me in working hard and ultimately resulted in happy customers and good earnings.
What are the challenges you have found in your freelancing career?
It’s little hard to start especially in a market where you think you are the best but the reality is there are already many good players available and thousands like you. It was difficult to get the first few projects and complete them on time. For me, I got my first project after 3 months of struggle and then completing it was another challenge. But once you succeed in building a good profile by completing the first few projects then it’s easy to get projects.
What according to you does it take to be a successful freelancer?
Hard Work, honesty and sense of responsibility. I think what skills anyone has that is not the only asset you should consider, as many others have the same skill set. Customers love Honest and hard working guys but if you add a sense of responsibility to your work it makes a perfect combination anyone needs from you and most people forgets about the third one. Clients highly encourage people who participate with them in discussions and help them in building a product what they want and alert them if something going in the wrong direction. They like if freelancer cares about the overall success of the project and not only focusing on project completion.
Professor Google told me that there is one awesome platform for searching for freelance work.
What do you think about working on Truelancer?
It’s simply great, like every one I too have my expertise but trust me once customers started knowing you it becomes more enjoyable. Another best part is payments are quicker and you don’t have to wait for 15 days or month long cycle and you don’t have to bear a burden of any hidden charges. Last but important, the support team is really fantastic, haven’t seen such a brilliant and quick response on any other platform.
What do you like doing when you are not “Freelancing”?
Spending time with family and friends. I am a techie so I loved playing with gadgets and checking out what’s latest going on in the tech world. I read tech articles a lot.
