Differences between Incubators and Accelerators

Though both incubators and accelerators are formed to support the startup businesses, there are some significant differences between the two. For entrepreneurs, both the terms are quite popular, and surprisingly people use these terms interchangeably, which is definitely a ‘wrong-do’. Fundamentally, they are different from each other and that is why they are not interchangeable. To understand their differences, we need to understand their definitions.
Accelerators help accelerating the speed of a business, while incubators help a business with all types of fundamental supports. Hence, to form a business, you would initially require the help of incubators. At the later stage, to make your business more productive, you need support from the accelerators. This is the primary as well as fundamental difference between them.
