Last week  (10 July, 2017) we have made some important changes in our algorithms to ensure Active & Skilled Freelancers get better opportunities and clients work with best freelancers.

What is the Change?
we have started calculating Response Rate & Response Time of Freelancers for Bidding on Jobs & Replying to employers.

What is response rate and how is it calculated?
Your response rate and response time measure how quickly and consistently you respond to new Jobs and employer messages. You can view your response rate & response time on your Dashboard ( will be live on Monday, 24 July).

Improving response rate and response time

To improve response rate and response time, do the following within 24 hours (or as quickly as possible) :

  • Send Proposals as quickly as posible for the jobs you would like to work on.
  • Send Proposal or decline request for Job Invite. ( you see your job invites on your dashboard).
  • Reply to new messages from clients as quickly as possible.
  • Update your workstream regularly with project progress.

Responses after 6 hours count as a late response, which will decrease your response rate and increase your response time. Your response rate can impact your ranking in search results.

Why this change is important?

In the age of Gig Economy, world is moving very fast. Clients expect to receive Bids for there jobs within minutes, reply to their messages instantly ( quickly as possible ).

Also when teams are woking remotely and are distributes across different time zones and countries, timely communication is very important for any type of project to be completed successful.

Clients love when freelancers reply them immediately and they are willing to pay higher ( you get to attract high paying clients ).
