Continuing with our series of featured Freelancers, today we are proudly presenting to you Komal Karale, one of our popular freelancers who joined last year. Her web development, UI UX Designing, and Graphic Designing services have made her a top freelancer in very short durations. She is known for her active participation at Truelancer, who utilized her time to develop her skills during this pandemic. Her dedication, presence of mind, and hard-working attitude have impressed many. Now, let’s get into her freelancing life and learn how she utilized her skills in freelancing in this global crisis which landed her the best projects.
When did you start freelancing and what inspired you?
Well, I was in the first year of my engineering, I came across the word freelancing. I read many fascinating stories of freelancers through various platforms who talked about their freelancing journeys and their experiences which helped them create their brand and develop professional values.
Initially, I thought I don’t have enough skills to serve in this field, but the lockdown was a breakthrough. I had enough time to learn the required skills and started my freelancing journey. Now it’s been 1.5 years, providing my freelancing services.
What do you like the most about Graphic Designing and Web Developing?
I feel designing is about converting complex concepts into simple visuals. I like breaking down problems, information into much simpler forms and making people get more value from it.
What are the most important skills required as a Graphic Designing freelancer and Web Developer?
I think “Looking at Assignment from End User Point of View” is what makes a Designer different from the crowd. The Internet is connecting the world today therefore, the developers should understand what difference their creation could make in society and to self. To compete, grabbing new skills each day is the key to success.
What are the challenges you have come across in your freelancing career?
The biggest hurdle was to maintain my academics and freelance projects simultaneously. I was struggling between meetings and my college lectures. Hopefully, Truelancer Team helped me a lot by arranging client calls at my convenience. Later on, I worked on my time management skills with all my patience and hard work. Now, I can handle both pretty well. (Working on making it BEST)
What according to you does it take to be a successful Web Developer and Graphic Designing freelancer?
When someone is looking at your Design or Website, always be clear about the message you want to give to your clients. According to me, if you have done that perfectly then, you are in the right direction. To be a Web Developer and Graphic Designing freelancer, you need to take care of this.
What suggestions do you want to give to budding Web Developers and Graphic Designing freelancers?
My advice is don’t get too excited by looking at the money that freelancers get for their work. It is not a one-day task or a stroke of luck. It takes time and hard work to build skills and to reach out your goals. You need to realize that someone is paying you for the amount of time and effort you’re bringing in for their work, so make sure your creations are worth it.
How did you get to know about freelancing and what is your experience using Turelancer?
I got to know about freelancing from some online blogs. By far, Truelancer has been the biggest supporter of building my brand image in it. The support team of truelancer’s is excellent, and I am grateful that I am continuously getting amazing projects. I am thankful for that.
