1. What was the inspiration behind starting your career in freelancing and when did you begin?

I have always aspired to be a freelancer, especially after learning about various platforms that offer job opportunities from across the globe. However, it wasn’t until the outbreak of COVID-19 that I began to contemplate freelancing seriously. I embarked on my freelancing journey towards the end of 2019.

2. For how long have you been working as a freelancer?

While I began my journey towards the end of 2019, I landed my initial project in March 2020. Since then, I have been working as a full-time freelancer till date.

3. When it comes to your skills in graphic designing, what aspect do you enjoy the most?

For me, graphic designing is all about channeling my creativity into my work. I derive great joy from being able to create something unique and novel every time I take up a project. It’s truly exhilarating to witness my ideas taking shape on screen, and to see the joy that it brings to my clients when they see their vision come to life.

4. What motivated you to pursue a career as a graphic designer?

Designing has always been my passion, and I have been drawn to it from a young age. As I grew older, I became increasingly aware of the ubiquitous role that design plays in our everyday lives – from billboards and advertisements to product packaging and website layouts. I realized that graphic designing is a highly versatile field that is always in demand and decided to pursue it as a career path.

6. What challenges have you faced in your journey as a freelancer?

As a freelance graphic designer, there were obstacles to conquer during the journey. So far the challenges which majorly affected in the starting are two. The first challenge was to find the first client and the second challenge is that you should have multiple skill sets to stay active as a freelancer.

7. In your opinion, what does it take to become a successful graphic designer freelancer?

To achieve success as a graphic designer freelancer, one must possess dedication, an understanding of client’s needs, the ability to deliver projects on time, mastery over design tools, and patience.

8. What advice would you give to aspiring freelance graphic designers?

For the future graphic designers, Learning various useful tools helps to make your tasks easy and always bring something new to the table. And showcasing your work with a great portfolio on freelancing platforms is also a good thing to take on. FYI, I got my first client from Instagram, where I showcased my work.

9. How did you first discover the world of freelancing, and what has your experience been like using Truelancer?

I first learned about freelancing in the year of 2007. I heard my colleague has an account on O-desk (now Up-work). My experience with Truelancer is excellent and my RM is very helpful. Here lots of job opportunities every day. Planning to stay on this platform as long as possible.
