How Waseem chose to become a Full-Time Freelancer

In this Waseem talks about his journey and experience as a Freelancer.

Tell us about yourself
I am a Web and android developer with 6+ years of experience in this field. I have spent time in 4 companies in the past. I started my career as a Web Developer. It’s been 2 years since I started Freelancing now and I am loving working as Freelancer. It’s so much fun and exciting now working as a full-time freelancer.
Why and when did you start freelancing?
I started freelancing in 2018 first I started doing it to earn some extra money but slowly it gave me the freedom to work at my own pace and become independent which made me choose it as a full-time career.
I did not have to go anywhere and without even paying anything I was able to earn a good amount so why not?

What do you like about being a freelancer?
The best thing I Like is being your own boss. I don’t have to work under pressure I have the freedom to work according to my pace.
Also, for working I just need my laptop and any place I want it can be my home park anywhere. I do not have to sit in a cubicle to work now.

What are the challenges you have found in your freelancing career?
Challenges that I had were that sometimes there was a challenge of completing the project as soon as possible as the time provided was less. And sometimes the feedbacks are also not on time by the clients otherwise there was no major challenge I had to face.
What according to you does it take to be a successful freelancer?
- Software requirement specification according to me makes good software requirement specification(SRS) of the project should be done and freeze the scope of the work. then the freelancer can deliver Jobs on time.
- Consistency You need to be consistent do not rush for anything. It sometimes may take time to get your first project but for sure you’ll get it.
How did you get to know about Truelancer?
It was simple many of my friends recommended me so I just Googled ‘Truelancer’ and created my Account.
What do you think about working on Truelancer?
Truelancer has really helped me achieve my goals. It has been supportive since the beginning. I didn’t have any difficulty either it is issues regarding payment or any communication issue.
What do you like doing when you are not “Freelancing”?
I Like to do coding a lot so I start designing small programs or products just for fun…
What suggestion would you give to beginner freelancers?
“Be Consistent!”
Start working with small projects which will help you in gaining experience and confidence and make a habit to make Software Requirement Specification (SRS) as this habit will help you freelancing much more easy and chaos-free.
Uh no not funny but,
Once a Client requested me to reduce the work cost and after i did it he immediately offered me two more projects which were double the cost of this project and it felt good.
