Tell us about yourself?
Well, I grew up in Vancouver, Canada and finished university with a degree in Criminology and Political Science. I went to high school for writing, creative writing and music, which really helped me when it came to applying my skills for freelance work.
Why and when did you start freelancing?
I actually started freelancing only a couple months ago. I’m currently living in Serbia and my Serbian is slowly progressing. I needed to create some income. I was pretty stuck with what I should do, ended up on Google, and it led me to Truelancer.
What do you like about being a freelancer?
I mean, being able to choose what jobs I would like to work on is always a plus. My apartment is my office, so I’m usually in my sweatpants, comfortably sitting on my couch and writing. I enjoy comfort, so it can’t get any better than that.
What are the challenges you have found in your freelancing career?
Freelancing is definitely different from having a steady job, because there is no security that you will get the project you proposed on. That being said, the instability as a beginner freelancer tests your determination and how hard you will work to get and complete a project.
What according to you does it take to be a successful freelancer?
I think you have to have a great amount of patience and time management. Of course, being skilled in your field is essential, but sometimes the process of getting projects can be a mental struggle.
How did you get to know about Truelancer?
My trustworthy friend Google directed me here!
What do you think about working on Truelancer?
I received my first project on Truelancer, so I’m naturally bonded to this site. I enjoy working on Truelancer; the site itself is organized and really easy to use.
How is your experience being associated with Truelancer as a ‘freelancer’?
Well, I don’t have many years on me as a freelancer, but so far the time I have spent as one, as been a positive experience.
What do you like doing when you are not “Freelancing”?
Well, I have my own personal blog and am currently writing a screenplay so I try to invest my time in those things. But of course I go out with friends, watch movies, you know, nothing fancy.
Well! Natasha seems determined to make her way through and come out on top. Our featured freelancers are those people who have achieved commendable accolades in a fast span of time. They certainly deserve the appreciation.
