Akila takes Logo Design Service to a whole New level

Logo Design gig has been the most selling gig on Truelancer, and Akila Wakwella from Sri Lanka has taken it to a whole new level of professionalism. He joined Truelancer at an early stage and has been very responsive when it comes to cater to clients who buy his gig. He started selling his Logo designing service at $5.00 on Truelancer and he got tremendous response from the still-evolving community of Truelancer at that time. Although Akila is a full stack Graphics Designer but he has taken up a clear niche of his services.

We interviewed Akila Wakwella to clearly understand how he delivers his services to clients and were surprised to see how much efforts he puts to deliver a service that merely costs $5 – $7.

We are compiling the information he provided us for our community as we found it very inspiring and informative.

After getting preferences from his clients Akila ponders over the design making rough free hand sketches as he brainstorms. This brainstorming session can be accompanied by light activities like TV Watching and Listening to Radio etc. This brainstorming sheet looks somewhat like the one below.

 

After Brainstorming sessions, Akila creates a rough sketch of his ideas to send to the clients. Here are some of the sketches that Akila gives to his clients for approval of the idea.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Then after the client’s approval of the designs on paper sketches, he further starts bringing his sketches to live by his graphics designing skills. He then gives the client a Concept file, we are sharing some of them with you here.

 

 

 

Akila gives 2-3 concepts per Logo, like the ones shared above to his clients. The client gives his inputs for some changes if required and then approves the design. Akila then delivers the logos in AI and other formats as required by the client.
