5 Reasons why your job may be killing you
Having a job and maintaining it is not an easy task. There are various kinds of pressure which are always pestering your mind. People who are able to manage such pressures like financial security, excess workload, peer pressure and performance pressure which, needless to say are a handful then you may survive but if they are getting the better off you then you might want to stop for a moment and think a little.
Here are 5 reasons why your job may be killing you
You’re too much stressed
Are you always stressed and on the verge of just losing it? If yes, then you should probably think on giving your choices some serious consideration. Stress is the harbinger of everything that is bad. Increased risk of heart diseases, diabetes, blood pressure, anger issues and depression are all deep rooted in the commencement of stress.
Need I say more!
You always complain about work
If there is one right saying, it is that you should always love what you do. If you are always bickering about how much you have to work and how less you are getting paid for it then you should leave it and find something better and worth your capabilities.
It is psychologically proven that complaining and bickering a lot can cause permanent and negative changes in your attitude by taking you more towards the negative aspect of things. You become more in denial of almost everything and nothing will seem to satisfy you. Now that can make life difficult.
You never find time to catch a break
Are you always just about to get up for a cup of coffee or to talk to your girlfriend and just then a new batch of work mails arrive?
Caught you didn’t I? Well, you are suffering from excessive workload syndrome which inherently means that you are are being exploited beyond potential and that can be very unhealthy. First of all it will cause stress and that means a whole lot of bad stuff mentioned above. You can’t let work take over your life. If you do, then you probably don’t have a life. Every good thing, every loved one will seem to trail away from you and you will land up in a fray of permanent frustration.
Something to think about
You feel drifting apart from close ones
Well that’s another harmful effect of a killing job. People work so that they can lead better lives with their loved ones but fail to realize many a times that their presence and time is required for the purpose to be solved.
If your work doesn’t allow you to spend quality time with your family and friends then there is no point in doing it anyway.
You concretely realize that you are not happy
Happiness is a strong feeling. You are either happy or you don’t and if you are where you are not meant to be, you will always be unhappy. Being stuck in a dead end job can cause unhappiness which can later lead to depression and other negative phenomenon which will cause your life to plummet down to desperate levels.
There always comes a time in life where you have to stop everything and think about where you stand and where do you want to be. Don’t just sit around being haggled and frustrated in a dead end job. You should take steps to ensure that your life is as healthy as it gets and you’re happy where ever you are.
