5 Pieces of Advice you must never follow
Most of the people you meet in the world will offer you some kind of advice regarding the most important and the most random of subjects. While most intelligent adults realize that most of that is worthless, many a times it happens that some of it seems quite useful and makes a lot of sense.
Well some of the advice which you get might make sense but there are some pieces of advice which you must never follow…. Ever!
Here are 5 pieces of advice you must always avoid
Save all the money that you can
While I am not against the concept of saving money for future security but saving incessantly and letting all the opportunities of a better life leave you is not such a worthwhile idea. It’s true that the more you save the better your future is but what is the point of piling up wealth when you have to look back and say to yourself with regret that, “Oh! I could have had that adventure… I missed it”.
You should save that much which ensures a better future and then spend freely to make the present worthwhile. Trust me, with age, memories will hold dearer than the wealth you have accumulated.
Be satisfied with what you have
I am sorry, I know this is a very old and very firm saying but I don’t agree to it. If people like Steve Jobs, Edison, Rockefeller, Bill Gates, Larry Page and a whole lot more were satisfied with what they already had, we would never know their names.
One should always aspire for something great. This does not mean one should aspire for greater wealth. This means that one should try to achieve his full potential and make his life completely worthwhile.
So don’t be satisfied… get out there and start changing the world.
Follow the authority
As a human being you should realize that nobody can force you to do absolutely anything. For the major part of our lives we are taught to follow the rules and always be in line with the norms and regulations set down in front of you.
Well don’t let them kill your soul, your creativity and your passion. Have the will to be a rebel and make your path by carving it yourself. You have just one life and following all the rules won’t let you make the most of it. I am not telling you to be immoral or an extremist, you should always do what is morally and ethically right because it is the essence of humanity but you must know that you have the right to do what you love.
Secure your life first, and then find time to enjoy
Well this is the most common advice you can here everywhere. It can get frustrating too! The uncles, the aunts, the parents and almost every other person will tell you this but trust me, there is no life without some risk.
You may get engrossed in work and start piling up huge amounts of cash reserves and may not even realize what you’re missing. Well, there are things you can do now, but will not be able to do ten years later and this chain will be on going and never stop. It is high time that you start finding time to do what you like. As they all say, time isn’t very forgiving.
So go out, bungee jump, Para-glide, take a trip to the hills and do whatever you want to do today, because the future is not certain.
Love happens only once
Never ever listen to anyone who says that to you. Love happens gradually and what you may think is love may just be an infatuation. It is not wrong to go through multiple relationships to find the correct one. Scientifically speaking there is a very thin chance of you finding the perfect match at the first try.
So don’t judge love to be this harsh, give it time and don’t go into sadness…. Time always provides you with the best options.
